I don't know why it's not there but I never even noticed because I felt no need to use it.
There is nothing wrong with the K700 display & doesn't need adjusting I don't think

True, it doesnt need adjusting but a brightness control would be useful when being used for prolonged periods to save battery power.

Yes brightness should be adjustable actually, I was meaning contrast doesn't need it.

I like being able to dim the screen on my P905, especially to turn it low when in bed so it's not so bright

actually mine is too bright at the night, there has to be a way with the hidden service menu settings, i hope will come up with new firmware supporting the same.

I hope SE would include that too in a future firmware upgrade. I think the dimming of the screen during keypad lock is appropriate at night, there should be some switch to trigger this manually.
