So last night I installed an old version of Tracker, I think it was tracker 4, on my new P910a. I had installed it on my P900 previously. It installed fine. Then I sent over skin called Symbian XP Evolution and installed a set of icon that came with the skin. I got a message to restart my phone.... I turned it off then and and waited, and waited. It was stuck on the Sony Ericsson opening screen. Nothing I could do would get it past that screen. I restarted it again, took the battery, sim, and memory card out... nothing. I went to SE's website to see if I could update the phone with recovery mode, then saw that there was not update service for P910a yet, just P910i. I tried it anyway..... AND IT WORKED!!!! All is fine and dandy now. Just took me forever to restore an old backup and then fix all my settings. Anyway, just thought I'd warn everyone about that.

good to know that until update service is available for the P910a we can use the P910i recovery service. I haven't had any trouble with my P910a yet, but I was somewhat scared of what could happen if something went wrong. Thanks for the info.

I guess if it is a 'recovery' service it will restore the phone to how it was & not change f/w but u never know.

Don't remember the old firmware versions, but here are all the specs since the update.
Phone R4A006
BT R2F
Org R2A17
CDA R2A16

Are all these the same as yours?

everything there is the same as mine except my bluetooth is R2C. Looks like it may have upgraded the firmware.
