i realy like the sound of using tracker,
but i have uninstalled it as it seemed to slow down my whole system,
and also i couldnt lanuch it with flip open function (maybe something to do with oranges software overriding it ?)
and i didnt use tracker for the calendar features really,,
although i do find the customisable desktop feature very usefull,,
any way i can customise the normal desktop on p910i ??
i really wanna be able to put unreal player on the desktop apps list in flip open mode...

If you don't need any extras apart from a good desktop app, you should try Handy Desktop. It really is the best desktop app available:

but its still the same situation as tracker,,
i have to go into the after opening the flip i still have to launch the applications folder and from there launch the desktop,,,,
is there a way i can have the actual p910 desktop customisable?
or just have it so that it launches handy desktop when u open the flip (although i couldnt get that feature to work for tracker 4)

For the P910 you need to use Keymapper by Epocware (www.epocware.com). This allows you to assign any program to the "Flip Open" event on your phone. It also allows you to map other keys such as the jogdial.

I used Handy day for a while but don't now, i think that P900 original is faster to use if you learn it. Ok, Tracker or Handy day looks nice but thats all,they drain battery and do my P900 slow. On some "heavy" websights and opera the RAM is to small for p900 and a app like Tracker and handy day, maybe it works better with 910 who has more RAM (the biggest advantage with P910!)

i did a bit of googling and it turns out my main problem is (as expected) the orange firmware i have installed on my phone which is over riding any programmes launching at flip open.

so now i need to find out about flashing the phone....
will it remove my phonebook entrys and all the apps i currently have installed ?
