I just purchased an ms duo pro 256 mb card and i want to copy all my programs and ringtones and so on on the new card, i tried a 7 in 1 flash card reader but the new card is not recognizable, so i tried formatting it using the phone, still not readable with the card reader.
I tried the duplicate command from sman but it copies the data onto a on the same card .....what can i do ????

it seems like your card reader doesn't support prod duo's...

i guess that may be the case because it reads the normal duo perfectly but doesn't recognize the duo pro cards at all.
is there any utility in the phone which can copy my stuff from the old card to the new one...

Most of those cheap multi card readers do not support Duo Pro & obviously yours does not.

You may need to just copy all your media etc onto the phone, swap duos, then copy back to the card.
As for all the apps, you could do the same thing manually with a good file manager like FileMan or it may be easier to simply re-install them on the new card

The easiest way of doing it is to use the backup and restore program. Backup your current memory stick, then restore the data back on the new mem stick. That is what I have done and it works perfectly

I must've gotten lucky... my el-cheapo multi-card reader can read Pro Duos no problem.

I'd give the brand...but it doesn't have one... came in a blister pack with big tacky letters "7-in-1 card reader!" That's all it said! Got it for US$12

What makes me sad that is that my card reader was not cheap and it does have a brand ; imation . I remember when i was buying it I insisted on a branded product, I guess we never win.....
Any how I did like you suggested and copied all the files using the phone placed in the sync station and a software named pc mobile drive but there were certain files that said access denied.
It took more than an hour just to copy the files from the phone to the pc, Iguess it will take the same in the opposite direction, I should have bought the cheapo card reader ......
