> Alternative(s) to Quickword?
Bookmark topic
Having just discovered that Quickword can't handle tables or embedded objects, am wondering what the point of it is (as a viewer of Word docs attached to e-mails, that is).
Can anyone point me in the direction of an alternative? Something that will at least handle tables. Thanks.

A trawl online reveals no such alternative ... but I stand to be corrected!
So, Quickword doesn't support the viewing of tables or embedded objects in Word docs. Given that the P910i is being touted as a tool for business, I think this is a serious limitation. How many Word docs that we receive by e-mail *don't* have tables and/or embedded objects?
In fact, I would say that the claims on SE's site that the P910i can "view" Word documents is misleading.

Just wondering, for all PPC users... can Pocket Word handle tables and embedded objects?
I've never received a Word doc with embedded objects on my P910i (I usually don't bother, and just download them on my desktop)
So I was never bothered by that limitation in QuickOffice.

I e-mailed Quickoffice support on this matter. Apparently, their developers are looking into table and embedded object support for a future release, but "it is not something that will be out anytime soon".
