Hello,

SE will increase the length of recording a single video clip in the S700i to 10 MB (15-30 minutes). The new firmware will be relased in 2 weeks.

Great news I suppose, but do the S700 perform higher quality video clip then the p9xx?? Otherwise I can't see the point of 15 - 30 min recording. The videos P9xx take only make it for an MMS message. The resolution are so week it's no point to transfer it to pc. What are u guys use your video clips for ?? Is long recording in this resolution really useful ???? I have an S700i and only use the still pictures, the video quality is really lacking, so bumping up the megs available is no use to me.
The new firmware should concentrate on bug fixes and maybe allowing larger mem cards to be used.

If you are using the memstick with the S700 then the only way to get it to work is to format it again with a pxxx. For some reason this is the only way to do it.
There is an option in the control panel to format the mem stick on a pxxx

If formatting your memory stick duo on a computer (eg WinXP) you need to make sure you format as FAT, not FAT32, otherwise it won't initialise on the S700i.

Regards,
Shane.
