i heard that the screen is actually scratchproof... so it is still necessary to use a screen protector? anyone used it without the screen protector and have any scratches so far?

I don't have one...I think it's scratch free but i can't tell for all the ear wax on it so many that's given it a nice protective layer!

There is no such thing like scratch proof. Even saphire layer on watches get scratch. Maybe there is a layer of material to protect the screen...

If you plan to use it for a longer time use a screen protector. Peace of mind.

If you gonna use the hand writing recognition often a protector is a must!
My screen (P900) looked awful after 2 month of use, i write a lot on the screen and are careful and use a light touch.
One month ago my P900 broked, i've got a new one on warranty and now use a protector.
The best is to put it on emidiatly when the phone is new when you have removed the original protector, then the risk of dust under the protector is minimal.

By the way, the P900 screen is VERY soft, I've used some pda's and have never used one that are so easy to scratch with the stylus. I don't now if P910 screen is different, i doubt...
