Hi
Just to let you know I created a small Windows tool to help the management and installation of .SIS files.
This tool is intended for those people (like me) that collect .SIS, Zip and RAR files from the net with software for the SE, and it reaches a point where you are no longer certain of what you have or the versions you have.
It's still in Beta, and has only been tested on a couple systems, so if you find any bugs, please report back by e-mail.
Have fun!!
SIS Tool SE, for SonyEricsson P Series
Are you ...
- Tired of relying in zip filenames to guess the contents?
- Tired of installing SIS files (and then cancelling installations) just to get the version from the installer?
- Tired of blind installations without knowing how much space will they take?
- Tired of trying to compare two almost identical files and guessing which one to delete?
- Tired of non normalized filenames that say nothing about the contents or version?
- Tired of trying to find if the software is the latest version, or the developer's homepage?
SIS Tool SE-P, The ideal tool to manage your SonyEricsson software!

I'm interested. I only wish for it to be available for Mac OS X.

Hi
Thanks for the support of all you guys
Although I started by creating this tool for myself, I ended up making a lot of effort to make if stable and as useful and compact as possible so you can use it without fears.
I have a lot of plans to improve it, specially the "Contents" part that is far from perfect.
Another feature I'm thinking is the posibility to store (in database) information about the software, so it's easy to open a new Zip or RAR and in a glance compare the versions with the lattest you have, or even the one installed in the phone.
Support for the S60 may be easy to implement, so if everything goes according to my plan, the next version will have support for "Install".
Thanks for all the comments, I'm glad everyone liked it!
Merry xmas to you all *<||:-)
