> updating firmware on the k700i (O2)
Bookmark topic
hi all, i have an enquiry for someone else, my brother has two k700i's that need updating to R2L001 via sony ericssons website, both handsets are from O2, although they have the quickshare sticker and not a branded one, it is unlocked and the only difference to the phone is there is an O2 icon instead of the sony ericsson icon in the top left hand corner of the menu..
can these phones be updated on sony ericssons site, because he wants to buy a syn station, but there isn't any point if it cannot be updated, i need to know in an hour if anyone knows thanks
p.s the firmware is r2a041

Don't ask for much do u
There is plenty of info in the forums about updating firmware....
From what I understand though and unless the update service has been changed in the last week or so...The chances of being able to update ur O2 phone are a little slim. Even thought it is not strictly branded.
You may have to end up sending it to ACR Logistics (formerly Hayes Tech)

At the moment if you have an O2 K700i that you wish to update it'll probably be best to find the nearest

Service Centre.
Or pop into your local o2 shop and ask for advise as some shops now are updating firmware.
