Since i am a great believer in Democracy and Freedom i had this idea that why can't we have vote to resolve issues here?..I think a lot of problems can be resolved through the voting process and this is fair and the decision that way can be final.....Say for example if someone isn't happy with a thread we can all vote to decide if its to be kept or sent to garbage!..Or even vote to decide if a member should be allowed to stay or be barred because of his or hers conduct.
Your thoughts and comments on this please!

I think the mods decide for us well, my vote goes to them to keep on the way they manage esato.

Boba no doubt the mods do a fantastic job here...but imo their are sometimes issues here which are not so straight forward and i believe that even the mods are even in a dilema as to how to handle certain threads or members. In essence a lot of burden rests on there shoulders..If we could all play a part in helping the mods in way to share that responsbilty and have a greater say in how esato functions ...members have to always accept the mods decision as final...members are often not happy with some decisions the mods make...Voting will that way end the dispute and lift some of that responsiblity off the mods...and everyone's happy don't you think?
Btw the vast majority of the decisons the mods make are good and proper...The voteing should only come in difficult situations.

But how should we vote and at what case? Think it would turn to chaos and endless discussions. The idea is nice but hard to realize.

Well the voteing method could be done in numerous ways..thats obviously open to debate as to what method works the best, but one way could be that Laffen could create a seperate
esato poll as is on the main page.which by far seems the most straight forward and fair way of voteing.....I don't see how it would create chaos?...Its a simple and fair process which the majority of members on esato will accept!...maybe we can even have a poll on if members should have the right to vote regarding issues on esato?

I have to say I am with Boba. Leave it to the Mods. The thing is, one of the first things I realised when I joined is that older members can form alliances, so I am not sure all voting would be impartial. The Mods do a great job and are able to regulate themselves, but if we don't agree with a decision they make what process is there?

It sounds like a fairly good idea to me, on threads that could go either way - be useful, entertaining or funny, or are just plain garbage and pointless and should be deleted.
imho there is a bit too much garbage posting here, Esato has lost it's focus a little in places. Don't get me wrong, some of it can be very interesting or funny, like Scotsboy's 'couch' thread, or Meth's 'Gaaaaaah i hate that' thread, but some threads should really be deleted or locked. This is where the voting would come in, where Esato members could decide which threads should go, if the mods can't decide what to do with a thread.
