hi
about a month after using my p910i, the application shortcuts (6 small icons at the top of the screen) cleared themselves in flip open mode. This caused a clear bar on top without any shortcuts. when i clicked on the empty space, the phone prompted me to assign a shortcut to that space. i accidentally set the 6th icon (top right icon) to calender.
I want to change it back to the way it was, with the applications icon (the icon with four blue circles) in the top right.
Control Panel --> Application Shortcuts only allows me to change the first 5 icons, but not the 6th.
How do I change the top right icon? Please help!

You're not supposed to be able to assign that 6th one. It should permanently AppPicker but I remember someone once found a way to change it, perhaps u have accidentally stumbled on this.
Have u installed any s/w or changed any system files recently?

thanks MikLSP
the only software i installed are the standard ones, like Handy Day 2004, Ogg Player, Lemmings, powercalc, sman, and a few others. I didnt install anything to change system settings.
The icons didnt disappear due to me tinkering with the phone. It just seemed to happen, if thats possible.
anyone else got any ideas?

Unfortunately then it may require a MasterReset to restore it unless anyone else has a solution

@niyaaz10
sorry to hear about your missing icons at the top of your flip open screen.
The thing is that this happend to my p800 about half a year ago or something. When it happend to me I did the same thing as you did, asked the people on Esato. But no one had a solution for me.
Lazy as I was back in the days I didn't want to do a master reset to clear the problem. I choose not to do this because I had to re-install all my apps and my back-up wasn't really up-to-date anymore.
So since then I have six customisable icons. I just assigned tracker to the most right icon. And with the use of magic launcher and keymapper it's pretty easy to control the phone.
Just for the record in my case it also happend suddenly out of the blue.
I know that this post doesn't help you much but I just wanted to let you know that you are not the only one with this problem.
Cheers!
Edit: I just re-read your post and to remove the calendar icon you should just assign the calendar to any of the five other shortcut places. This way the most right place will be empty again and you can set a shortcut to any app you want.

Update:
after about 3 and half months, the problem is gone! yay. here's what happened. I installed "sony ericsson desktop" from the sony ericsson website, and icons on top got sorted out. Application Picker back to top right icon.
Glad i didnt have to do a master reset.
