Hi guys.I have a question about these 2 types of connection.I am on Orange and for connection to the net from my P900 I can use WAP GPRS or Internet GPRS.I have these 2 data accounts in the phone.wap gprs is for wap traffic and internet gprs has full http anywhere.I have free traffic for wap but for internet it is not free. So,when I connect the phone I am using this wap gprs data account always because it is free (Orange says so).So I understood that this is for wap traffic for sites like wap.esato.com.But,using the same wap gprs settings,if I type
www.esato.com,which is the full html...surprise...I get the whole and full esato.com in my browser. Now, the question is: is this traffic to full web sites like
www.esato.com a wap traffic or is it of internet gprs type?is it free for me or not?All the time I used only wap gprs data account in the phone and it should be free according to Orange. So is it free?I thought that using wap gprs data account I could only browse wap sites.I'm confused a bit

You CAN view html pages with the WAP gprs account, but may not be able to download large files.
The Internet account can be used for browsing or with pop3 email and using it with a modem as a laptop.

I have been using an Orange WAP (APN=orangewap) connection for about a year now to get full http internet access on my iPaq with a bluetooth connection to my phone. What’s even better is I only pay £4 a month for unlimited access! As far as I can tell there are no restrictions on the WAP connection, I have download a file 10MB+ in the past with no problems. Although I too would like to know why Orange have a different APN for each data type (WAP, Internet and MMS). I don’t think the other networks do this, do they?
