> Plugging k700 into a dss-25 sync station

I want to buy a dss-25 sync station to upgrade the firmware on my k700, but how can the phone fit on the cradle with that little plastic cover on the bottom getting in the way? Is there a space for the plastic cover to go on the dss-25, or do I have to take it off in order to connect the two?
