Hi,
Am unable to hear any ringtones, alarm or listen to mp3 in my p800. But am able to listen to recorded voice.

Could anyone tell me what could be the problem and how to troubleshoot it.

Try the obvious first: Check the multimedia volume by pressing the speaker icon at the bottom. If this is a notes-crossed-out icon, then you're in silent mode, which would explain it too.

But I'm sure you already checked that............

I have checked for that setting in speaker setting, its in full volume and speaker icon is not crossed.

This might sound a bit drastic but have you tried a master reset? This will reset all settings back to their default. Back up your phone first though so that you dont loose everything that you have on your phone.

go into your music player ...click music / preferences and check all the tick boxes are ticked !!!

Have u tried restarting the phone?

You can also test the speakers in the Service Menu

I restarted the cellphone and also checked all the music format checkbox, still couldnt fix it.

In flip closed or on phone keypad press:
Jogdial up, *, down, down, *, down, *
Then choose Service Tests
