> K700i v K500i.Heres a thought!

Have paid £180 for my Orange PAYG K700i but am cheesed off with the Orange Firmware. Have seen today I can get an unbranded K500i for £130 from CPW....am sorely tempted to return the K700, pocket the £50 and have a nice unbranded handset.
I do like the idea of a radio but Bluetooth amd mem size no big shakes...My question is having had the K700 and it's frankly sexy screen is it gonna be too traumatic for me. Have heard that the battery on K500 lasts longer than K700 as well (no doubt due to screen). Off the first FULL charge my K700 lasted 36 hours on pretty limited texting and calls (no mp3s etc)...is this about average and do's battery life increase after a couple of charges? (have latest firmware)

Once your batteries have reached maximum potential it'll get your K700i up to 3.5 days on minimal usage. Depends on your needs actually, but you might find the extra bucks to be well worth it and miss a lot of good features like more memory, bluetooth, radio, big screen, of the K700i.

actually the screen of the k500i is bigger. not k700i. k700i only has more pixels. actual size is for k500i

you will notice that the orange firmware has disabled the more function on the standby screen, has little icons on the desktop and has orange icons on the menu screen, but apart from that that is it!!!
i am telling you, i took my unbranded sim free k500i back to get the orange one from amazon for only 160 pounds (you shoudda gt one from there)
listen, it isnt worth it, you will notice the difference. the k5 screen is worse, the camera isnt that good and the k7 has things i guarantee you will miss! dont do it!

k500i has a place of its own. unbranded k500i is good. no bt is the only thing against it. plus mem is good enuf if u dont plan to make it an mp3 player. and its good value for money buy.
