As i recall esato never had a thread dedicated to guitars only?
anyway i play on one and i guess that's my favorite hobby, i like it even more than phones so i thought it would be quite interesting to see if any of other esatonians share my passion for guitars, which setup do they use, favorite effects, favorite guitar players etc etc, anyway talk about anything related to guitar

whoooo

I have:

Marshall JCM 900 - 100 watt head, 4 x 12 cab. VERY LOUD.

Electric:

An epiphone Firebird (very nice)
a gibson E355 copy
Did have an epiphone SG sold it to my mate.

Semi/acoustic
Takamine - my baby, very nice.

Vast selection of marshall effect pedals - supervibe being my favourite.
2 Danelectro effect pedals - phaser and tremelo.
white limited edition, cry baby wah.

Thats my set-up.
Been in a few recording studios, done a few gigs here and there

been playing nearly 10 years. I prefer the acoustic to chllll out.

excellent mate!
so what kind of music do you regulary play?
oh and i forgot about my gear, nothing special in terms of sheer quantity but it serves me very good...

anyway:

-Fender Stratocaster USA (currently with blue steel 9.42 strings)
-Vox Valvestate ad60vt ( 60w but mighty powerfull at least for gigs on small stages although it doesn't even come close to fender deluxe by power which i believe has about 180w (on play on this one occasionally but it isn't mine)
- a classic guitar which i don't recall the name.... nothing special, my first guitar and i still have, and i too use it a lot...
- i don't have any "outside" effects as vox amps have multi-effects integrated and i have to admit that the overdrive isn't as powerfull as it could be but i don't play much metal so that's fine with me but i often use the wah-wah pedal and it's awesome....
anyway the multi-effect is rather good and it satisfies me for what i use it....

well we have one member which has a guitar any others? i remember fijbert had some guitars but he isn't on esato anymore...

oh and i play a lot of different music, i'm currently having a jazz gig tommorow but i mostly play blues, rock and metal...

I like to play jazz. The chords cripple my fingers and I like that

I'm into loads from the 60's - Beatles, to Pink Floyd & Nirvana.

and I like to shake my house and blast my neighbours when I plug in my amp. Level 2 is loud enough

I prefer acoustic guitar, mine isn't really fancy. I have an Ovation Applause (forgot the model number) and no gadgets. I play mostly ballads, soul, r&b, light jazz, rock, new wave and anything that has interesting plucking in it.

I don't play guitar, but I do play bass and I figure thats close enough.

gear:
epiphone electric bass (don't know the model number)
peavey microbass amp
boss TU-12H tuner
boss multi-effects processor w/ wah pedal
dod digital delay pedal

recently someone stepped on my amp's plug and broke it. Since then I am afraid to plug it in and I have been borrowing a friends acoustic bass. I like the acoustic alot, especially since you don't have to set anything up to play it.
