Bad news if you care about the environment, aparrently, the US has told a UN conference on global warming that it has no intention of re-joining international efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

yep, bush prefers to call red alert 20 times a year in future in florida, texas, California.. spending money in prevention (or put restrictions on industry) is way less popular than beeing the 'saviour in the storm'..
I hope the f*** lobby people will be buried under their chimneys..

I donīt believe in a radical change like presented in day after tomorrow. Even it is hard to decide whether global warming is a natural effect like it has been over millions of years or it has been evoked by the humans. Nevertheless I believe it is time to do something in the field of environment pollution - and the US as our beloved world police is not a good role model..

Yeh but 1 of the biggest countries who accounts for most of the worlds polution is USA! So they should be taking the responsibility of trying to cut their polution. Why should we all suffer from their doing? Also i seem to remember this aint the 1st time they said they aint joining it.. This message was posted from a T610

I guess the only positive thing is that Russia has now committed to the Treaty. However, all the countries currently signed up only account for 30% of emissions worldwide...
