> P910i desktop alert
Bookmark topic
Hi guys, I have a P910i and I've a question - does anyone know how to overcome the alert on your desktop everytime you open the flip or end an application, if you have a missed call ? I receive missed calls and have to call the person back to remove this alert. If the number is withheld I have to delete it from missed calls and then switch off and on the phone.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
its the alert that you would get at the bottom of the screen when you click on the "Today" icon on the desktop.
Its displays :-
Missed Calls
unread messages
tasks
and it has a desktop button on the far bottom right which takes you back to the normal desktop

Do u mean with SonyEricsson Desktop installed or is this an Orange branded phone as they have different firmware which includes the Orange desktop which the normal phones don't have

This is the SE desktop I think, its a T-Mobile branded version but the "Today" icon is the SE one, there are others like t-zones, but this appears to be a SE feature. Its very frustrating to say the least.

Sunny, I had this very issue with my T-Mob P910 and managed to resolve it by following the steps that Sparky outlines in this thread
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=77077.
This worked for me and now I don't have the problem you're seeing.
Cheers,

Thanks for this !!
Basically then, the problem I've been having is that when I open the flip, it defaults to the T-Mobile Desktop View and not the Shortcuts view(which is excellent btw). This is configurable in the SE Desktop but not mine (confirmed as T-Mobile)
Although, If I install and then uninstall the SE Desktop according to sparky92's instructions, will the t-mobile SHORTCUTS view still be available ? I quite like this one compared to the SE shortcut view.
I don't want to lose the T-mobile shortcuts view if I want to get rid of the T-Mobile desktop view on flip open.
Talk about confusing !!

I think if you just change the name of that homescreen file that the "today alert" goes but the T-mob desktop is still there (I may be wrong on this one though).
I've used both desktops and find that the SE is much more useful due to the config options.
