I have Opera installed on my P900 and it works well except there are a couple of things that I am not sure how to do. If anyone knows the answers I would appreciate it.

1. If you have multiple pages open, it is possible to simply close a page completely rather than just scroll between them (I think this would be useful to not keep adding to the memory being used).

2. If you have a page open and hit the bookmarks icon, it shows you the bookmark list but I have not figured out a way to come back to my page if I decide not to launch a bookmark.

Thanks.

The button right next to the Bookmarks button closes the front most window.

The button to its left, 3rd from the right, pops the pages menu (if more than one is open) or takes you to the browser window.

Of course, you knew about the first button from the right, the Bookmarks page?

Or is it not that simple???

ok for the return button but my problem is this....if I have a web page open, cnn.com, for example. It is already loaded. Then I press the Bookmarks Icon and see the list of bookmarks. I am now in the bookmarks page and all the icons are now gone except the one used to flip between pages BUT this icon is greyed out and not available. I have no way now to go back to the CNN page. I can only select one of my bookmarks.

Strange! My windows button stays active, even if only one page is open. Are you certain you're not accidently closing the page?

By the way, what version are you using?

Press return arrow button if you are in the the homepage don't press the x icon. If you're in the bookmark page press web and select history and select the site

pressing return instead of the x for bookmarks seems to do the trick but it doesn't seem logical!..... anyway!

As far as pressing history and the site itself, I had that as a workaround already but the prob with that is that it actually reloads the page by transferring it from the web again...that i s...gprs data starts again and this is time consuming and data charging!

Thanks.

I don't get this. How do you go to the Bookmarks page? It's done with the return arrow button.

there is a little button on the bottom that has an X on it. That is the Icon to go directly to the bookmarks page, not the return arrow button! If you look at the online documentation, that X Icon is called Bookmarks!

Znino:

Are you sure this comes from Opera's own documentation???

Well, bear with me for a minute. The buttons on the lower row, from the right, are:
1. Bookmarks (looks like a return arrow)
2. Close Window (the one with the X on it)
3. Web page(s) if more 2 are open, this buttons toggles between them. If 3 or more, it pops a menu.
4. Stop loading/Reload page
5 & 6 are back and forward.

Again, I don't know where you got this, but the button with an X on it DOES NOT necessarily go to Bookmarks. It just closes windows.

When you think about it, that actually might be the source of all your frustration.

Cheers.
