Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.
I've just sent a contact as text from my K700I to a friend's Samsung E800 and whenever she tries to read or delete the text the phone locks and switches off. I'm aware that this might be better directed at a Samsung forum but I thought I'd see if anyone here has experienced anything like this. Thanks in advance.

if you had send it as text and her phone goes off it should be the same everytime she receives and sms - which I donīt think it is so. Maybe your phone attaches unreadable code even in text sended contacts?

I'm not sure but i think the format used by SE phones to store contacts is different from samsung or nokia phones. When i sent a contact from my K700 to a nokia, it got received as a text message with some text like
BEGIN
........... etc
END
but when i sent it to a SE phone, it properly recognised it as contact sms and prompted me to add the contact to the phonebook.

Yes u recv it as an sms but SE phones recognize the code in the sms and automatically prompt u to save the contents ie. the contact
