There seems to be a problem with Sman as soon as you take a snapshot of the running processes if SE Desktop is installed and running.

Once you reboot, Sman refuses to start with the following error message:

Reason code: USER
Error Reason number: 23

Searching through the archives I did find something about how to fix it:
1). Un-install both Sman and SE Desktop
2). Install Sman
3). Take a snapshot of the running processes
4). Install SE Desktop
5). Reboot and all is fine again.
----
6). Never take another snapshot (at least until SMan gets fixed)
----

Is anyone else getting the same error codes?

Oh - BTW, today I got my P910, and I'm *very* happy! I'll start moving my contacts from all the sim-cards onto this phone which a fairly large job

On the other hand - I'm seriously considering buying Magic Profiles Pro (which I have dubbed phone-call firewall ). That should keep 'ork from calling me when not at work. Bwahahaha!!

Ino!~ (my preciousssss....)

Have the same problem myself with Sman 1.3c and SE Desktop.
You cannot even get Sman working again (it crashes consistently whether its et to auto start or not) until you uninstall SE Desktop and then reinstall Sman and take a snapshot without SE Desktop included.
Hopefully this will be something thats fixed in Sman 1.4, although I am now using Magic Launcher 1.1 instead which removes the problem

Hi
Same problem here, I'm unable to start SMan 1.3c.
It has been working before and I can't remember doing a new snapshot, just restarting the phone.

Snapshot of apps are the one you don't want Sman to close when doing flushed, either manually or force by closing flip.

This has just started effecting me today too.

And also can I say how proud of myself I am that I did a search and found this topic! Eh Masseur? Getting better at this arent i!? heheh...

Anyway, I wanted to ask the guy using Magic Launcher how hes getting on with it. Is it an alternative to Sman or SE desktop?

Getting on really well with ML 1.1 - is seems to be very stable and for me has completely replaced Sman for task management - I have the internet button assigned to popup the running task lists so its dead easy to switch between apps.
The only thing I ever used Sman for anyway was task managment since I prefer Fileman to Smans built in file browser.
I use ML in conjunction with SE desktop, and these two combined are my ideal combination - very little bloat and it does what I need quickly without having a lot running in the background or being forced to use skins - I reall like the fact that both ML and SE Desktop are very consistent with the general look and feel of UIQ.
The only minor issue, and for me it is a minor issue is that on flip open ML causes the application list to pop to the front of SE Desktop but a simple back click in the scroll wheel takes to back to SE Desktop so its not a big deal. I understand Symbianwave are ware of this problem and working on a fix.
