Bookmark topic
Hi there,
Heres the scenario:
I bought a PAYG P900 on Orange recently, since then I have had it unlocked, I use my O2 sim, MMS and WAP do not work even when I get the O2 settings sent to me, how do I make it work?
Second question is...Is the warranty voided now cause I've had it unlocked? Does Orange know if it has been unlocked?
Please help me
Thanks, Pete

Hi,having not got my first se phone i can't be sure about this.I have an MPX200 at the moment and it uses the following settings for O2:
Connection name: O2 Internet
Connects to: Internet
Access Point: wap.o2.co.uk
Username: o2wap
Password: password
Primary DNS: 193.113.200.200
Secondary DNS: 193.113.200.201
IP address: Blank
MMS :
IP: 193.113.200.195
Port: 9201
Mmsc:
http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
internet:
Connection Name: O2 GPRS
Connect to: Internet
Access Point: wap.o2.co.uk
username: o2wap
password: password
primary/seconday DNS: 0.0.0.0
IP address: 193.113.200.195
As i say ,these are the settings i use on my phone at the moment,i wouldn't have thought the settings for a p900 would be too different but i am sure somebody will correct me if i'm wrong.

It might be becuase your sim isn't MMS enabled - i had this problem, i emailed 02 and they activate there end, if you email them they will be able to tell you if its enabled or not.

Thanks for the help guys but it still doesn't work, it gives me the message 'Activation rejected' (Same message even when I got them sent to my phone from SE site)
Can someone with a PAYG O2 P900 post down their setting?
What is the internet accounts? is it to connect up to ISPs like AOL, etc?
Plz help me

why don't you just call your operator and ask them to help you out. it's not like you're doing something illegal.
help-lines usually are free when you're calling with your mobile.
you might also want to check your operator's website, most often they have a service that sends you the necessary setup info by sms, installs itself and you're ready to go.
yes, you need to have them enable mms for your sim card.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the info, My sim card is wap and MMS enabled as i use to use it in my P800. I have also had O2 send me the settings. Any other suggestions?
Could it be that i need my phone flashed to get rid of all the orange branded stuff? even tho the orange mms and wap accounts have been deleted it could be because it was bought on orange?
Thanks

I am sorry, but i don't. BUT
O2 are a very good network, and if your P900 is unlocked it shouldnt change anything. If you take it into the o2 store, and tell them (dont tell them its unlocked! - they wont know (unless there is a damned orange sticker on!) ) and ask them why.
if you put an o2 simcard into a phone, it should work. The phone is not damaged, just unlocked, which isnt illegal as someone said earlier!
Go and ask them is my best bet. I will also have a look on the internet for some settings for you!
Best of luck
edit: try this
