> P900- service light on permanently!
Bookmark topic
Just a quick question - The green service light on my P9 seems to be stuck on permanently, like when the phone's charging- why's this? slight software/firmware fault? Just started doing it this morning. It has Orange branding on it.
I've tried rebooting the phone but it's still doing it! Not a major prob, I just hope it's not the start of something more serious!

Any ideas anyone? It's only a minor niggle I know, just wondering if there's anything I can do!

btw would it drain the batt too much quicker?

Green light on permanantly while charging?
Thats perfectly normal, dont worry about it. It does not drain the battery. It indicates the the phone is charging.

Shut the phone off and take the battery out. Then wait 2 minutes. Re-insert battery and then switch on again.

I had this too a few months ago on my P900
YOUR P900 IS BROKEN !!
It was sent to SE, but at that moment they never saw this 'feature'
Finally I got a brand new P900 from SE as replacement. Seems something is broken on the PCB (connector) and the damn problem is that everytime you start your phone, it will put the cable connection default on MODEM
Result: you can't backup anymore, you can't reflash anymore...

It's happening whilst the phone is NOT plugged into the charger - did try plugging one in then out, still doing it. will try taking batt out next.

Is it having a major effect on battery life? If it isnt, i wouldnt get overly worried about it.

Try turning bluetooth on then off and then turn flight mode on/off.
I had this prob too but doing the above fixed it.

Just tried residentevil's suggestion of turning the phone off and removing the batt, has done the trick! No idea on why it decided to do stay on- Wasn't overly worried about it though!
