I found a bug that caused me to be late.... With rergards to Alarm Function... I know i shouldn't be actually really depend on my K700i alarm, but then what's the use of this function?
Try:Setup a alarm
Play a music from the media player
Lower the volume till it reaches mute
Then enter standby mode
Then Tada~ no sound for Alarm.
Wat the hell!!!

I dunno why it happened for you, but my alarm works fine when i followed your sequence. I tried running media player to make sure and sure enough it was muted as i had left it before.
What firmware are u using ?

I tried that too and the alarm still works for me. What's ur firmware ? The R2A f/w had many bugs.

can't you just upload an mp3 - use it as an alarm by settin g the time like normal people
I think you maybe forgot to say abracadabra after you put the phone in standby
