I'm getting a T630 for Christmas, my brother is getting a T610. We got his of the net, sim free, so it's pure SE, straight from the factory, and I love the load up screen. My T630 is from an O2 shop, therefor it's tampered with, and has the O2 dolpins on start up and loads of other O2 crap that I don't wnat on my phone.

I've read around, and there are a few methods similar to the 13 (or 12.5, I can't remember) seconds trick for getting rid of all this preinstalled rubbish.

From experience, does anyone know what will work? And any concequences? I did a preinstalled memory wipe with my T300 before it got knicked, and it worked a dream - I'm just wondering if I'll lose VRally, as this sounds the best SE game there's been.

Thanks
Rich

The 13 sec trick is risky. U can try to replace the pics with the same named files sent to your fone from pc and replace v rally downloaded from se site, after it u could delete those This message was posted from a T68

i have read one way to remove preinstalled items but it only removed the pics on my t610. but you can still try it though:

1. do a master reset of your phone.
2. when the phone turns on again, go to settings>display>wallpaper>set picture.
3. now heres the catch, you should be quick. since the pictures are still loading, you will get a picture of a hour glass which means that the pictures are still loading and it will give a promt to delete the pics. click yes until all the pics are deleted.

i saved a few bytes of memory this way. can't help you about the games though.

about the games.. just copy to your phone the same game.. or maybe filename.. then it will ask you to replace or not? then replace it then delete it..

Hi, I have just bought a second hand k700i that has O2 factory firmware installed. Does anyone know how to change the O2 logo to vodafone(that is what sim i am using) in the top left of the options screen and start up shut down screens. Would it sort it if i downloaded new firmware from the sony ericsson website? I have bought a desktop sync stand from ebay but i haven't got it yet.

DSS don't help you to unbrand your phone. You need T28 cable and some logs to SE Flash Client
