Thinking of upgrading your mobile, but unsure, which one to go for? Please post your choices here. Hopefully this thread will allow those who are thinking of upgrading to look at a single set of opinions and information, rather than having to search through numerous threads.

I am thinkin of upgrading from my current T230 to a symbian phone most probably. I am on a shoestring budget and my choices are N 3660, N 6600, K700i, Ngage QD etc..... I can't afford the newer models!

Yeah. I like the K700i! But the prob is, it ain't symbian and no memory expansion! The S60 Nokias currently seems to better value for my money! More phone for less Money! Here the price of the brick 3660 is well below that of the K700. The NGAGE is even cheaper! The 6600 cost almost the same as the K700i.

It all comes down to what you need from a mobile phone e.g expandable memory, a radio, Bluetooth, etc. Decide what features you need most and then look for the mobile that best fits what you need.

with respect, this is one thing I really dislike about these types of threads.
members just make a post saying "this is a good choice" or "that is a good choice" and don't give reasons so the post is, in fact, totally useless in the decision making process.
personally I would go for the Sendo X in this price range as it offers alot more for your money. you only have to go through the
Sendo X experience to see how much better it is than the K700 for similar money for example expandable memory, real player, fast processor etc etc

Having nearly reached the end of my contract, and due an upgrade, I am now deliberating between P910 and Voda's V800. Voda branding is turning me off and I am not keen on Clamshells. P910 would keep me occupied for hours and it is adaptable. In fact I think I may have answered my own question. :-)

I take your point, but I expected the chap to ask me why I thought it was a good choice, in which case I would have told him why. Also, it is an opinion, which can be every bit as valuable as technical specifications, so I wouldn't necessarily say that it was 'useless'.

why not pre-empt him asking why by giving reasons in the first place?
this has been a whinge of mine for a long time and I have posted this opinion quite a few times. thats just my opinion anyway and this is a good topic so perhaps we should get back to providing assistance to the question in hand.
actually I am really tempted to get the Sendo X just so I can better advise in topics such as this since its price has been reduced so much lately and is really great value for money given it feature set compared to the K700
