> Received K700i today - Questions

Hi all,
I've been reading the forums for a while but only recently registered - so hello there
I got my K700i from T-Mobile UK today. For those interested...it's got the R2AA003 firmware and was either made in week 43 or week 46 (I checked but have forgotten, and it's charging now). I've got a few questions however;
- How can I move the SMS messages stored on my Nokia 7210 to the K700i, if at all? I've got them backed up on a Windows PC with the Nokia data suite, but as to where I go from there...
- I've downloaded a variety of Mac and PC programs to try and do this, but now I'm hesitant to use them incase I really muck something up. Suggestions on good programs?
- The Mac has Bluetooth, no Nokia connectivity (but I can copy the SMS text file across). The PC has Infrared, so has Nokia and K700i connectivity.
- The right button at the bottom of the screen is called "t-zones" and is a big pink block no matter what theme I use. Can I change this?
- As the software version goes from 3.9 to 3.10 with the R2AE033 update, is the picture quality improved? I can't seem to get the quality others are getting. Tips?
I hope I made everything clear...I've got a habit of being...not clear.

..I don't know of any programs being able to save messages on the K700i. There is, though, a really weird way to do move them from your 7210, but you have to have the mesages saved in the Sim. Messages saved in the SIM card are in the "Saved Messages" folder on the K700. Try to send to anyone. As soon as the display shows "sending message" press cancel (before it actually starts sending) It will be saved in the drafts folder. Repeat with all messages, and keep in mind that the K700i has enough memory shared for 100 SMS messages. As soon as everything is saved in the Drafts folder, go there and start selecting each one, pressing more and saving to templates (it won't work if you mark several messages, they will instantly go to saved items folder - at least on R2L001)
About "T-Zones". You can change it - You must fully install and replace the current firmware - T-Mobile branded - with a non-branded firmware. I have no idea of the proccess.
And finally, i don't know about camera driver 3.10, but what i know is that the K700i and generally all
phones with cameras that use CMOS sensors work better with the light of the sun. Try also using "Fine" in the quality option instead of "Normal"

For the camera, use fine instead of normal, and as Teslaguy said, your pictures will be much, much, _much_ better in daylight than indoors or in poor light. At night or indoors, the signal/noise ratio is horrible. In sufficient lighting, the camera's not totally horrible (unlike, say, the T6xx cameras...)

I tried the camera outdoors and it was quite a bit better. I had it set to "fine" before but at 640x480. I reduced it to 320 and now the pictures are fine
Much better than the pics I've been sent by people with 610's.
On transferring SMS's...it's driving me crazy. So far I've managed to get a whopping 10 from the Nokia to the Ericsson. I backed up the Nokia using the data suite and then restored it. Ten of the messages restored to the SIM and the rest to the phone. Then I put the SIM back in the K700 and copied them to the inbox with a BlueTooth utility. I thought I'd just have to repeat that a couple of times but unfortunately now the data suite only saves to the phone, so I'm stuck.
I've got the text file of all the SMS's from the Nokia (which the data suite creates) and found a program called MegaCellX which can export and import SMS's to the K700. My plan was to export the current 10, open the file in a plain text editor and copy the messages from the Nokia file (with the same format). Apparently the previous demos allowed you to upload SMS's to the K700 but the latest demo disables it, wanting a registration fee. So that idea's shot...
