Hi. I've had a K700 for about 2 months, had it changed once. Its developed the squeeky back cover....are there any new insights on this problem? Also the slightly more worrying thing is, the phone seems to have slowed down there about 2Mb free memory but the memory staus menue takes a long time to open. The sms box also keeps insisting that its 95% full even thought theres only 70 msg's there. Is the phone getting old or do you think theres somethign up with it? Anyone else had a problem simular?

I notice that keeping a lot of pics tend to slow down the phone, but other stuff like music, games and themes doesn't. I don't know why exactly but that's what I observe.

@blackspot - Since I only 'had' my K700i for 2 months, and haven't 'utilised' it's memory to the 'brink' . . . have you noticed any slow movements as well when 'videos' are in it's full Thanks!

You think a squeeky cover after 2 months is bad? I got a squeeky cover after less than a week (i opened it about 5 times to try on different protective cases). But now its in a protective case so it doesnt move anymore.

@JN, what do you mean " 'videos' are in it's full "? I only notice a slow down in the performance when I keep a lot of pics.

About the squeaky back cover, I was able to remedy this by fitting a strip of masking tape into each of the canals on both sides of the phone, wherein the protruding part of the cover slides. A small fraction of a millimeter's difference, and the phone is now rock-solid.

The squeaking back cover on the K700 is a common problem, mine started doing it after about a week, only a minor irritation though!

I'd be worried if your K700 is 'feeling it's age' already, as it must only be 7 months old at the most! What firmware version are you running? R2L is the later, better version, the earlier R2a had a few bugs in it, like slow or 'sticky' menu navigation. Try freeing a bit of memory up, that may help speed it up a little.
