guys...a friend of mine heard this chismis...meron pa daw nakakita sa newspaper...that globe has gone the unlimited route like sun's 24/7...can anyone confirm this po?

supposedly, globe postpaid accounts can call any globe subscriber for free starting jan 5, 2005. text not included.

it was on a newspaper daw though i didn't read it myself.

It's true: Globe is coming up with a call-anytime,anywhere-in-the-philippines-free- for their landline service, Globelines. No news yet regarding the mobile phone service. But I have a feeling that Globe and Smart are going to follow suit (on a more limited basis, though) what Sun has been doing. Remember last year, Sun started the low call rates and no peak/off peak system. Globe and Smart followed suit in January this year. So I have this nagging feeling that the top 2 are going to come up with a service similar to 24/7 in January 2005. The heated competition is really good for us end-users. I hope BayanTel and Extelcom join the mobile phone network industry soon.

ive heard that too..but isnt it for globelines, not the handyphone?just surmising...

i hope its really for the handyphone, coz my globe postpaid account bill is killing me...especially now that GPRS is no longer free:(

Well, you can now replace your landline phone with Sun's CTU 24/7. Especially if you don't do dial-up. It could be as cheap as P100 a month.

Mas mahal pa yung landlines.

yes,, sa globelines yung promo na yun.. but if sa globe postpaid, eh di ang saya saya!! hehe.. pero i wouldn't want that to happen kaso.. kasi ma congest yung network! eh panu na yung important calls ko??? may sun naman ako eh.. hehe.. so okay naman.. it works for me..

how about globe prepaid? nag unlimited text naman na dati ang globe way way back, right? yung you have to pay 250 then 2 months unlimited text messaging for prepaid and all post paid yata are ulimited? im not sure though, kasi prepaid lang ako nun, and it was year 1999.
