> Search function of K700i phonebook?
Bookmark topic
Hi all
Many good things about K700i.
The only thing I wonder about is the phonebook of K700i.
I've heard that there is no contact search funtion on K700i - means in K700 phonebook you can only press a button to go to the 1st name begining with that letter and then scroll down through the list to find a particular name. In T610 phone book, you were able to find a name by typing several letters, not just only the 1st letter of the name.
Is that true?
If true, is there another better way to find aname in contact list?
Thanks.

hi,
there is more advanced search function in the latest firmware version... so you will need to upgrade your phone to that if/when availiable in your local Service Center.

If my understanding is correct, the firmware R2AA was supposed to have the search function but a bug was reported where if you press cancel (C button) it will delete the contact instead of erase the last typed letter for the search. That was one of the reasons it was recalled. It's supposed to be fixed in R2AE whenever it will be officially released.

Then came R2AE003 that does add the Search function and finally removes the annoying issue of "C button = delete contact".
Unfortunately still unavailable through web SE Update Service...

In R2AE, the C button is supposed to cancel the last typed letter for the search.
