I noticed that when setting up internet accounts, there is an option to set a port. By default, my provider's is 9201. I tried 9202 & 9200 and they also worked. 8080 didn't. Appreciate someone explaining how these ports work, & what is peculiar to each. E.g. is there a particular port better suited for secure connections? Gracias.

different types of services uses different TCP ports. Port 9201 is used for WAP service sessions... nothing your network providers has decided, but it's a standardport in WAP... Port 9200-9207 is used for different WAP sessions, meaning these are probably available while other ports are closed...
