> How do I unlock Ericsson T610
Bookmark topic
Hi,
I am a complete newbie so excuse me if I state the obvious. I have bought a Ericsson T610 which is locked to Vodafone and I wish to unlock it to use an Orange P-A-Y-G sim card. In simple terms how do I do this and do I need to buy any cables to connect the phone to my PC to do it?
Cheers,
Rob

Taking a few moments to search the forums would probably be your best option.
If Vodaphone wont give you the unlock code, the only way you can do it is to buy a Terminator Dongle and use something like DIV to rebuild the OTP using the IMEI. Im in the US so I dont know much about Vodaphone's policy, but T-Mobile hands out SIM unlock codes if your account meets certain basic conditions.

But the best solution is to let it fix by experts, to avoid problems later.

I unlocked (and unbranded) my T610 today with a terminator dongle from eBay. It's a quick and simple way!
An excellent guide:

You can also unlock it using Totalserver, will cost you 8 quid. (And a T28 Service cable if you donīt already have one.. )
