Talk about some UNFORTUNATE events in my life!!!
Well, here in the Philippines, most of your valuables are at risk as soon as you go to the outside world!!!
Last year, bought a brand new T610 phone, loved it! had it until September of this year.... could have kept it for a long time if it hadn't been taken away from me by force! Some g*dd*mn addict sat beside me on a bus, took a gun out of his pocket, then pointed it on my chest and asked me to give him my cellphone! In a life and death situation, I had to give my phone! Man! I WENT THROUGH A LOT JUST TO EARN ENOUGH TO BUY THAT PHONE!!! And it will just be WHOOSH! GONE! In a split second because of some d*mn thief who makes a living out of what he steals!!!
Then, tried to bare the pain of not being able to call my gf for 2 months... luckily, around November last month, I earned a bonus and got enough money to buy a new phone. I eyed myself on the K700i, and it was a bang for teh buck!!! HOORAY!!! Was able to call my gf again! Now with mp3 capability and a much better camera too... yet again... to my dismay... this month, December (and to think it's xmas time!), was walking to work, got my fone in my hidden pocket just below my left knee... then suddenly, out of nowhere, some creep laid his hand on my shoulder and pointed a sharp object (felt like a pocket knife) on my back using his other hand!!! D*mn, he asked me to hand out my wallet and my fone, I just handed my wallet... he asked me wheres my fone, I lied and told him I dont have any... Then to my surprise he inspected me! Man!!! He found my fone's whereabout and said "Ginagago mo ba ako?! Gusto mong patayin kita?! (are you making a fool out of me?! do you want me to kill you?!)"... GOD! He took my fone from my pocket, and left me with empty pockets!!! Grrr.... TALK ABOUT THE FRUSTRATIONS!!! You worked hard to get a fone, it got stolen, worked hard again to get a new one, then it got stolen again!!!
Man!!! I don't feel xmas this year! Being robbed twice this year just plain s*cks!!! Sorry if I'm a little bit rude with my grammar but I'm just too frustrated after having been robbed of my simple treasure twice! Now I've got no fone! Talk about sheer xmas!!! COLD AS ICE man!!! Grr... wish those thieves die from their conscience!!!

it surely s*cks...

and man... when your fone gets stolen, the only thing you could do is report the IMEI and get it disabled... well, that's an upside so that the thief could not make use of it... but the downside is that's all you could do, you could never have your phone replaced for free, you still have to buy a new one... which will surely take about some months before I could buy a new one with my salary right now... and to think I could be using that money by now for the holiday season. man...

Bad Karma man.
I would recommend getting a really shitty phone that you keep on you as well as a good one when you get a new one. At least if you get held up again, you can give them the crap phone.
Lets hope you get some better luck in the future.

well, I could approach a policeman but what's the use? The thief already ran and, in this country, some policemen are bribed by thieves as well...

i think its advisable to buy insurance on the phone as soon as you buy it. and cheer up mate... life is more than just cellphones and thieves!! the new year is just around the corner and things will definitely get better, i'm sure!!
all the best with ur girlfriend!!!
