> K700i voicemail alert ?

Hi,
I was used with my T68i to receive an audible alert or vibration in silence mode when someone would leave me a voicemail and the small "record" enveloppe was displayed.
It seems that with my K700i I cannot get any alert, it just displays the enveloppe in the top.... which means I sometimes realize I have a voicemail hours after the message was left.
I did not change operator in between so it's not operator related, I've looked through the phone option and "message alert" is configured....
Am I missing something here ?

I'm confused.... its illogical to put an "alert tone" when u recieve a voicemail message. If it did have one surely u would hear the phone ringing in the first place, so there isnt much need for an alert tone for your voicemail.

I'm in an elevator or in the subway/underground parking with no reception at all, someone tries to contact me and goes to my voicemail. I want the phone to tell me that I have a voicemail once I'm back in reception area rather than having to check if I see this small enveloppe on the screen ...
Doesn"t that makes sense ?

K700i plays the standard message alert tone when I receive a voice mail notification. You haven't turned the message alert tone off have you? You select the tone under "Messages", "Settings" then "message alert". Be sure it's not turned off. Hope this helps

Normally your network sends an sms when you have just received a voicemail. This is displayed in the normal manor ie envelope in the corner and the appropriate tone(that is if you have it turned on). Remember if the phone is on silent and the vibrate it on, then it will.
