I've had the phone for about 3 months now. I have always liked the phone but over the last couple of weeks im having problems with the joypad. Sometimes when i click it in the menu doesn't come up, i have to click 3+ times. The joypad also doesn't work very well when going left or right, it's like there is a loose connection or something as it's very tempremental.
Is this a known fault? should i send it back 2 vodaphone?
Cheers
Andy

@andyuk112285 - Glad to have you on-board Esato dude

What firmware are you using - the stock - R2A . . . one

Better check with certified

teks if you will be needing an upgrade mate, if ever, that will also improve the fone's battery life by 30-40% - Good Luck !

Just open your phone(be careful not to scratch it or leave any signs that u opened it as that may void warranty) and clean the joystick area. It mostly does that coz it accumulates dust. There was a guide to openin a k700 posted here sometime back(with explanatory pics)...refer to it for help.

@clank - Oh, kinda 'delicate' to open it don't ya think mate

Better bring it in the

Service Center, I guess !

Its easier than it sounds mate besides i'd prefer doin it myself coz the service centre people scratch the phone+screen and leave fingerprints+dust particles inside of screen and i truly truly hate that.

As always, if the phone is faulty and is still covered under the warrenty then go back to where you bought the phone or to an

service centre and get it repaired. If it is a software problem then they will flash the phone with the latest software, if it is hardware then they will try to repair it for you or give you a new one. I would not suggest trying to repair it yourself.

I live in South England, don't think i've ever seen a SE service station. Will the Vodaphone shop i brought it from do it for me?
