> Normal P910i behavior?

Hi,
I just got my new P910i today!
When I put it in the dock to do the first charge it booted up, is it normal for the P910 to start up when it is connected to a charger/dock? The dock were not plugged in to my computer, only to the charger. I have read several posts on the subject of the first battery charge and I hope this did not ruin my new phone!

Yes, that is normal. It will have only started up enough to charge the battery and show the charge level. Now try to leave it in peace overnight!

no, thats normal. when you plug it into the charger, it starts up in basic charging mode. same as with the P900.

i didn't have any history like that in mine but i heard at first charge, u must charge it 8 hours

well, actually it started to ask me about my location and time settings and stuff. I managed to turn it off, but I am just hoping that the battery will be fine anyway.

It wont have done anything to the battery. I have always used my phone as soon as I get it and during its first charge without any detrimental affects.
