Hello everyone,

I have bought SE P908 (I wanted P900 - English - I didnt know that there are more than one version of P900)

However, the version that I have uses Chinese (CDA162003/13) as default input method, I changed it to english, but the problem that handwriting recoginition doesn't support double-stroke handwriting (eg, "T", "X" ..etc) , So, I want to change to international firmware (the one that english P900 uses) ..

If I went to SonyEricsson online update service and put another CDA number (for example, english P900's CDA) would it change my firmware to english firmware ?
And is this idea safe ?
If yes, what CDA number should I put ? CDA162003/5 ?

Regards

It's not unsafe - it just won't work. The SEUS checks CDA version against IMEI, so in other words, it knows you're not telling it the truth. You'll need to get it flashed at a Service Centre.

Hi,
thanks very much for replying ..

Unfortunately, there is no Service Center where I live ..
I live in Middle East in Jordan, I guess nearest Service Center is in Emirates which may take days to reach by car

Aren't there any ways to solve this by myself? any software to update handwriting recoginition ?

Regards
