On a similar theme to 'phones for girls'... I need to get my mum a new mobile. Something for when she's in the car or on holiday (she needs to be contactable in an emergency). She's not, it has to be said, the most technically advanced of people. I need to get her something REALLY easy to use. Apart from making/receiving calls she needs to be able to access SMS easily. That's all she needs. Suggestions? This message was posted from a T68i

@absin

Nokias are fairly straightforward to use, I would recomend the 6230. It is relatively simply to use and has a good range of features.

"relatively simple"? It has to be mum-proof! Have you a target price on PAYG? Thanks. This message was posted from a T68i

yea a 2100/1100 or even older phones like the 3410 would be fine. However if she wants a colour screen maybe the T230 or 3510i. If a camera is also necessary then I would say the T610 or 7250i.

She doesn't need colour and certainly no camera. The fewer the features, the less confused she's likely to get. This message was posted from a T68i

A T68i might not be a bad idea, they are 'relatively simple' to use.

Perhaps an older model of handset would be best; retrofone has a selection of older mobiles for sale.

There is a PS2 shortage in the UK. My mum couldn't work one of those, either. This message was posted from a T68i
