i use a t630 i bought off ebay, faulty, then repaired successfully, the phone was working fine in Edinburgh for around 2 months, now when i come back the Glasgow for xmas, it says "SOS calls only"
why is this?
could the phone be blacklisted? i occasionally get 1 bar signal, however it is very frustrating, the phone was working in glasgow, it may just be that glasgow sucks for recpetion but i would like to know more.
any thoughts?
Gregor.

Check your calling settings (if there is any) I dunno where theyare as I have not had a problem with My K700.
Im just curious though, how much did you get it for?

You're right, I don't think it's blocked. It could be that the aerial inside the phone perhaps either wasn't put back in place quite correctly or it has moved - were you doing a lot of jumping about or were you jostled a lot at this concert?
The sos calls only thing means that it's picking up a signal, but another network's signal that will only allow you to make emergency calls, e.g. you were picking up an Orange signal instead of an O2 one.
I had a similar problem on a T610, it kept saying sos calls only and occasionally got a weak signal, it turned out that when I took it apart to change a broken lcd I didn't quite click the aerial back into position, once I'd done this it was fine.

i was getting crushed, coz i was right at the front, even had 3 guys lying on top of me, and half the crowd shouting GET UP GET UP at me, so i will open it up and replace aerial. my problem sounds like same as yours.

Not sure to be honest as I haven't had a T630 before - I suspect that they are the same aerial unit - that actually was one donwside of the T610 (and probably T630) I found that reception on this phone was pretty poor compared to others.
