Hi all.
I have an s700i on the O2 contract network. I have an NTL email account, and until about 2 weeks ago I had no problems in receiving and sending emails. Then all of a sudden it stopped working! I know all the settings are correct as I've checked them time and time again, and i've even had the settings resent from the SE website, and they're the same.
Anyone else having this problem?? Is there a cure?
No doubt O2 have put a spanner in the works somewhere along the line!

Does your NTL account have a webmail part to it? If so it might very well be that there are e-mails 'stuck' in your account, which you can't download, and which are preventing you from accessing your account.
You might also want to contact NTL and aks them to have alook at your account to find out if there is a problem with it at their end.

Hi.
I've not got any webmail part to my NTL account...I access it at home thru pop3 using Outlook Express.
It's odd it just stopped working.
I emailed O2 and they said, "ask NTL"....cheers for the help I thought!!!!

Does it work with outlook express atm?
Try logging into your account at ntlworld.com/webmail and have a look and see if there are any problems there.

Hi
It's stopped working on O2 for mine and my partners BTInterner accounts too so it looks like O2 no longer support email clients.
It does work over GPRS Mobile Web settings but you have to have an account that is set up for this as well as WAP. You can only get this on a full tariff account not SIM only or the old Genie cards it appears.

Yeah NTL works fine at home at the moment.
Before I had the SE s700i I had an N-gage and it worked fine through WAP, but not with GPRS. Then I got the s700i and I just put the WAP settings in again and it was still fine.
I've not tried GPRS settings since it stopped working....I'll look into it and see how i get on.
The thing is, it dials the number for WAP, then shows it's looking for the server, but never finds it.
