Hi,
I was on the phone earlier (p900) and all was fine, went to hang up and the phone crashed completely (still showing the call in progress but the timer stopped). In the end had to remove the battery.

Since then the phone will not start. The battery has been reinserted and the power button pressed - the screen stays black but lights up (if that makes sense) and the vibrate function hums (as usual when turning the phone on) - but thats it, no functionality or display. Holding the power button for 10s to reset turns the phone off - but when its switched on its exactly the same.

Any ideas what I can try next? Bit of a problem having no phone!

Thanks
Nick

Looks like a software issue. Why not try a servie centre? If warranty sill in force, take advantage of that. My p800 had ts firmware upgraded the other time it refused to boot-up. This message was posted from a P800

Hey, welcome to esato

Yeah try what baseballfanz said and if it doesnt work try it again but leaving the battery out longer.

If it doesnt work i would suggest you take your phone to a service center, they will be able to help you.

Thanks for the welcome and such quick advice!

I've left the battery out for a long time with no difference. What's funny is the fact that when I put it onto charge the charge LED went red and then changed to green when complete - even though the screen was still 'black'. Assuming its a different part of the phone that controls this?

Is there a list somewhere of the service centres?

Cheers
Nick

Sorry in the UK. Found a posting elsewhere saying theres one in Blackpool - Eurocomms? If they aren't one, or you know of any others around Preston then please let me know.

Cheers

Hi, I'm from Preston. Where abouts are you?
Eurocomm in Blackpool are a good shop & was a great Service Centre but unfortunately they are no longer Servicing
The next nearest one is at Carphone Warehouse at Bolton, on the retail park next to the Reebok Stadium off the M61

BTW, have u tried removing the SIM as well as the battery?
