Can someone please tell me what I need to buy to be able to do this?
(Obviously, I have the phone and the PC already...)
Thanks.

You need bluetooth dongle or 'usb bluetooth adapter'. All the software you get together with it. There are many brands, mine experiences with MSI dongles are positive. This message was posted from a T610

Yep

You will be able to send many things; pictures, ringtones, mp3 files, video files, games.

Bluetooth, because it has bout 10 meters range, and you don't have to align devices like with IR. In my experience BT is also much faster than IR.
