I've recently downloaded a trial of magic profiles, which is a very useful app for changing your settings at certain times or places.
But here are a few things I think are missing....

The ability to change the SpeakerPhone status on and off.
Closing and reopening the keypad is too much hastle sometimes.

To be able to switch the backlight between on, off and auto.

If anyone knows any other apps that can do the above things, I'd be grateful. I have tried the 'Turn the Light On' app, but that doesn't let you turn the light off!

I love magic profiles pro, it's the best app i have on my P900!

I can't say i miss something but one thing that irritates me is when i choose a profile wich will turn on bluetooth it won't turn it off when i choose another profile, why not?
If it worked properly it would be a quick way to turn on/off bluetooth.

I use turnOn the light alot because it is a very fast way to change between light always on and auto light just with a press at the internet button. I often have my agenda for meetings in my P900 and want the light on for longer that the 30 seconds in auto mode, it takes to long time to go into control panel, therefore TurnOn the light is great (i'm probobly the only one on Esato that think's so!).

You say you can't turn off the light? No not totaly but why would you do that? When you go to "normal light" it lits in 30 seconds then it will go off. Do you wanna work with your Pxxx with the backlith totaly turned off?

If a light choise would be implented in MPP i hope one can turn it off and one with a button off choise.

Sorry for my english, some words maybe is wrong?

Theres loads of stuff missing from this app which is available on other phones profiles (or maybe stuff i havemnt found yet)
like being able to change profile depending on what accessories are attached to the phone, or change the font size, but im sure (hopefully) these things will be implemented in future verisons, i might consider buying it then.

Hi Z.

I like Turn On the light too, it's very useful when reading E-books with Mobipocket Reader on autoscroll. I agree with you it's a great little app.

I do need to operate my Px00 with the backlight totally off. I use it when I'm out looking at the stars. There is some great astronomy software for px00 Solun, Microsky etc. But the problem is a bright backlight totally ruins your nightvision. Your eyes have to readjust to the dark again which can take upto 30 minutes. Like when you step out of a cinema into the sunshine, your eyes are slow to adjust.

You should be able to get Bluetooth to turn off, just make sure the profile you are switching too has the setting Bluetooth 'OFF' and not 'UNCHANGED'
I've found it best to make two new profiles called bluetooth on and bluetooth off. And leave my other profiles with the 'unchanged' setting. That way I can keep BT on or off and also decide how noisy my phone will be.

Thanks for the reply.

Thank's for your tip about the bluetooth!

Ok, then i understand why you wanna turn the backlight off totaly.

I would like to have the option to regulate the backlight (reduce) on my P900 like one can do on P910, i often feels that the backlight is to strong under some circumstances, then i would like to decrcase it to save battery.

I wrote to the TurnOn the light people and asked if that could be implented in the app. Unfortunatly that couldn't be done.

Merry christmas!
