I have just purchased a p910 with a dss25 cradle. I have downloaded the latest drivers and software from se. Im running w2000 on a advent laptop which only has usb 1. After installing and restarting i am unable to connect to my phone. The link manager tells me that i have a conection on usb : comm5 : connected, but when i click change phone to see if it is connected there are no phones to choose from.
Can i have some help and the correct settings for the usb port and my phone.

i had the same problem n i called SE. they told me everything... my problem was that i had to disable all the firewalls n i even had to delete Mc Afee anti-virus coz they interupt with SE software. try disabling them first.../ give SE a call.

thanks for that i called se and they sent me an email saying much the same. ive tried this but it still dosnt work. ive got to reinstall w2k soon so ill try it again when ive done this

I have gone through nightmares with this dam phone,put your system restore discs in and start from the begining,DONT load any antivirus,and dont load the XP service packs,dont load any other phone sync software.You will then load in your UPDATED SE PC SUITE(
www.sonyericsson.com/support).I will then work,you can then load in all your other programs,and your antivirus,BUT when you sync in future you WILL have to disable your antivirus.My Treo 600 worked first time,i didnt have to disable anything to sync!!!!
