@redbull

Since it is Christmas I won't just link you to other threads, I will provide you with a step by step guide.

1.) Install the software that came with your Bluetooth dongle.

2.) Activate Bluetooth on your P800.

3.) Using the Bluetooth software you installed, search for your P800 using your PC, once found pair your PC with your P800.

4.) There should be an option in your Bluetooth software to display the services available to you using your P800. You need to select the 'Dial-up Networking option.

5.) Your PC will coonect to your P800 once you have selected the Dial-up Networking option and you should be presented with a dialog box asking for various details, enter the following information:

Username: faster
Password: password
Phone Number: *99***CIDx*# (Where 'x' corresponds to the number of the mobile data ccount you wish to use. If you look at the data acocools you have on your P800, there should be one named 'O2 Mobile Web' or something similar. Count down to this account, the top account in the list being number one, the second from the top, number two, etc. The number that corresponds to the acocool you want to use is 'x'.)

6.) Once you have enetred these details you should now be able to connect to the internet using your P800 as a modem.

You may be unable to connect if you have a firewall activated.

@scotsboy

well i gave it a go....with abit of improvisation,the computer paired and started the dialing via the bluetooth but the gprs didnt respond(its set to always connected on the phone),although i didnt try lettin the pc activate it..i also tried different accounts to no avail,also tried the windows internet connections with those settings complete with the o2 proxies(oh and i dont have the p800 pc suite installed at the mo),i kno im overlooking something but like i said im very new to the pc environment,and theres so many combinations of settings and options that without help will take me decades to get the right combo....SO if anyone has a laptop running xp and a px00 as a modem connected via bluetooth whos successfully got online using the o2 wap gprs settings please share the exact combo of settings with me.
@scotsboy
dont get me wrong i did appreciate ur help,u more than pointed me in the right direction,im just abit bewildered by windows xp at the moment....

@EVERYONE AT ESATO

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I have o2 p&g.
username: payandgo
password: payandgo
you have the proxy set right? And port 8080?

Only probs I ever had with connecting was the kbps speed.
Just check your internet and bluetooth modem settings and set the speed to 230kbps or 480kbps and then try connecting again.

well after alot of pissing about with settings i managed to get a connection,by accident as it happens,i was actually trying to connect my nokia instead of my p800 using nokia settings and the bluetooth connected to the p800 instead and gave me a connection...a very slow one but after a bit of tweaking its now going at a reasonable speed......
i used *99# as the dial up number,
o2wap as the username,
and "password" as the password
and added o2s proxies in the internet explorer somewhere,cant remember where exactly.
like i said its going at a reasonable speed 115.2 kbs but can i get it to go any faster than that?
im sure i saw settings somewhere for speed but i cant remember where...
thanx to all that helped out.

@redbull

My apologies for not replying to your earlier post. I'm glad you managed you get your connection working.

The speed of 115.2 kbps is the speed of the Bluetooth connection betwene your PC and your P800, not the actual speed of your internet connection, which will be far lower.
