The only solution i have found is that you must call someone and then activate the camera while "talking" to him
although it may cost you a few bucks it's damn funny to photograph your mates in sleep with the handy flashlight

Put your phone on silent and the shuter sound will not come on.

Depends on the phone, most phone now is required by law to have that sound. Branded phone will have that for sure, my p900 unbranded have option to turn it off. I have heard unbranded 700 can do same thing.

Upgrading fw will mostly disable shutter sound when on silent. There are also 3rd party apps that you can use to flash your phone with. These flash files are made sure not to make shutter sound. This message was posted from a K500

Hi govigov,

i read the part on the later version of firmware, but it seems that the later one have taken away the feature of mute'g the sound. mine is the R2AE033. seems like it cant turn off that sound.
