I just tried to upgrade the firmware on my P910i on Orange
Goes throught proccess OK, but when it starts to update and error appears saying "Battery not changed fully or remove battery and replace, and try again". But I have done this and fully changed it.
Is this an Orange thing, like the P910i is loacked to Orange.
PS. TO EVERY ONE ON ESATO HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS

I'm on Orange UK and upgraded my firmware without a problem, so there's got to be something more to it.

try connecting your phone to the pc suite - does it connect without a problem?
i dont know what to suggest, try and clean the connectors between phone and battery and try makes sure there is a good connection.

yes, make sure the battery is fully charged, and then disconnect or switch off the charging cable. the update wont work if the phone is still being charged.
remove cable and you are good to go.
merry christmas

I've got a similar problem with updating the firmware. I'm running XP(SP2), newest versions of Java & PC Suite & the battery is fully charged.
All the software has downloaded onto the pc, including (what I assume is) the firmware definition. But then it says to click next to install it, with the screen showing 0%. That's the point when it says "Error communicating with device" followed by "please remove battery and restart phone" (or words to that effect).
I looked at the log file for the upgrade and it says:
2 Error Link error when loading dll USBFlash.dll: Can't load library: C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\hfclasses\USBFlash.dll (by) homeflash.msconnector.io.USBFlashCommunicator
Anyone got any ideas what I can do differently to get this to work?
Thanks for your help and merry Christmas!
David
