Ok fellow posters - I went to the SE site and saw that my orange P910 had an old version of the firmware so I went to update it but it switched the phone off and on then said unable to connect to the phone. Do you all think this is because its an orange branded phone or is it just a fault with the SE update service? Your opinions would be most welcome.

And perhaps I could have - doesnt matter anyway after many attempts to update the p910 it turns out the problem lies with my phone anyway and I'll be getting a replacement model. Also SE have emailed me and said that the Orange Branded phones do not allow updates to be obtained from the SE site - how damn stupid is that!!

But thanks for all your guidance and support on this issue
