Hey all,
Happy Christmas everyone!
I've been viewing Esato for a while now, well ever since I got my V800!
I've realised that a lot of this forum (or maybe just the sections on the V800 - which I've been reading) are to do with Vodafone. I just wanted to let everyone know that I actually work for Vodafone as a sales advisor so if anyone wants to know anything or has any questions let me know
Again a very nice forum, I've told everyone I know with a SE mobile to visit here to find out a lot about there phone!
Keep up the good work everyone..

Hi matey, welcome to Esato. I just want to know that, do all of you guys who work for phone operators and mobile phone sales chat crap and waffle to every customer that you guys serve? Are all of you trained in buls**ting customers?? Don't take any offence, nothing personal against you... but that's the impression I have of people who work for phone companies, especially for Vodafone as I have been a Vodafone customer for 4 years now.

@Sainty
welcome to esato, where have you been - you will learn alot from this forum i can guarantee you.
i have one question, why do vodafone persist in destroying Perfectly good firmware. the consumer has already bought a voda handset i dont see why you need to advertise to someone who has already bought one of your products.
this is nothing personal - and you create good business for me, i think i have lost count of the voda branded phones i have debranded.

Hello to you all!
Nice to see some replies, right where do I start...
riflogic: Well me personally I always tell the truth and as much knowledge as I can, I think I'm about the only person that actually doesn't tell customers anything not true or twisted. I'm not sure if you all know or not but at Vodafone we don't get individual commission unlike all other mobile phone operators and mobile stores (The Link, Carphone warehouse etc). We have store commission so this makes a lot of difference as me as a person is not trying to keep you and make you buy. I'm not sure if I could ever pressure someone into a sale either as I'm not that kind of person - I was very suprised when I got accepted for this job because of this reason!!!
gbrooks3: To be honest with you I have no idea, I think its because of advertising perposes, but it really doesn't bother me. I have a V800 and to me it looks great, besides I love representing Vodafone anyway
Codfather: The only tip I can give you is to the end of your contract and then phone up customer services (NOT go into a store) and say you want to leave Vodafone, they will ask why and tell them straight, your unhappy with the price of the upgrade and that you could goto another network and get it much cheaper as a new customer! Now, depending on how much you spend with us or how much of a valued customer you they will decrease the price!
Hope thats answered all your questions!
Cheers

No problem
Anyone think we should start a V800 only Forum like we have one for the P800/P900/P910? I think that would be a nice idea
