> Video playback on p910i

Im very critical with video playback and that's why i am torn between a windows operated smartphone and a symbian. I like the windows media player, the pocket office and the pocket explorer. THese are the 3 major things i need to have. Pocket office you have quick office, pocket explorer you have OPERA. but what about windows media? It can play wmv's and other formats. So my question is, does symbian have an alternative player other than p910i's default player which can only read .mp4s?

Erm, there's a couple of alternatives, but to be honest it sounds like you want a microshit phone to me.

If you wishes to watch wmv clips, then the only option is to use PPC. UIQ platform currently only supports MP4 by default and with 3rd party apps like Smartmovie, it allows you convert into Divx/Xvid AVI movie clips.

mplayer and mencoder does everything you need.
It's OpenSource but no one has ported it to Symbian yet:
